Baguio’s identity is shaped by its rich cultural heritage, including historic sites, traditional practices, oral histories, indigenous knowledge, and diverse cultural communities. As the city continues to grow and modernize, many of these tangible and intangible cultural assets face the risk of being lost, underdocumented, or overlooked in development planning.
The City is seeking innovative approaches to strengthen cultural mapping, preserve cultural heritage, and promote the meaningful integration of indigenous knowledge into urban planning, environmental management, and public policy. Solutions should help safeguard Baguio’s unique identity while ensuring that cultural heritage continues to inform sustainable and inclusive development.
