Baguio City’s growing population, urban development, and changing climate place increasing pressure on its water supply and natural resources. Protecting watersheds, improving rainwater harvesting, and replenishing underground aquifers are essential to ensuring a reliable and sustainable water supply for future generations.
Beyond water security, the City also seeks to promote the responsible use and conservation of minerals and other natural resources. Innovative solutions are needed to strengthen resource management, improve long-term sustainability, and support climate-resilient development while balancing environmental protection with economic growth.
