Baguio City has committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in support of national climate commitments and global efforts to limit global warming to 1.5°C. Reaching this target requires coordinated action across major sources of emissions, including buildings, transportation, energy use, waste management, and industry.
Reducing emissions while sustaining economic growth and improving quality of life is a complex challenge. The City is seeking innovative, practical, and scalable solutions that can help measure, reduce, avoid, or offset greenhouse gas emissions while supporting a resilient and low-carbon urban future.
